My Dream Job

Rhima    :You seem to really enjoy your reading. What book are you reading??
Elsa       :Oh... This book is about law because I like everything that deals with law. My dream is to  become a wellknown and professional lawyer.
Galih      :A Lawyer? What so good of being a lawyer?
Elsa        :I think being a lawyer is really cool for me. I can help people to deal with their law problems. Lawyer is also prestigious profession. You need to take a long educational period to make you a true and dependable lawyer. So, what do you want tobe in the future, Rhima?
Rhima     :My true goal is become a Ministry of Finance. I want to be a Bachelor of Economics. My father is an Accountant. He deals with corporation's Finance on his work. Maybe I will be an accountant first, then I will continue my study of Financial Management and I will walk on my career to be a first director of a corporation and keep struggling for my main goal to be the Ministry of Finance . So, What about you Galih? What's your dream job?
Galih      :Umm.. I don't know. I think I'm going to be an artist.
Rhima     :That's quite cool for me. What makes you decide to be an artist as your dream job?
Galih      :Yeach, as you see. Actually, I love all kinds of art, especially fine arts. I love paint and make sculptures or statues from woods or wax.. I want to be a great fine artist that is known by everybody. That's really a great dream for me.
Rhima    :I hope in the future we can get our dream job.
Elsa       :Aamiin.... Success for us all.

A teacher teaches his students in classroom. The students sit on the desk. The teachers write
the lesson on the whiteboard use board marker or at the blackboard use chalk. The students write the lesson on their books use pen or pencils. If they write the wrong words or sentences, they delete use eraser. The students wear uniform in school. At the rest time they read books at library to gain more knowledge.
The headmaster is a leader or a chief of a school. He or she has some people to help him or her. They are librarian who handle the library, a janitor who keeps the school clean,
a treasurer who keep the fund of the school, etc.

Conjunction

Compound Sentences with Coordinating Conjunctions 

 (FANBOYS)

A compound sentence contains two separate subject and verb pairs. You can combine two simple sentences together with a comma and a coordinating conjunction to make one compound sentence. Here are some examples:

F – for I drank some water, for I was thirsty.

She put on a sweater, for it was cold outside.

*for means the exact same thing as because. The only difference is that when you use for to join two sentences together into one compound sentence, you need to use a comma before it. When you use because to join to sentences, you don’t use a comma before it.

A – and He was tired, and he had a headache.

N – nor She doesn’t drink milk, nor does she eat butter.

I can’t whistle, nor can I sing.

He didn’t study last night, nor did he read his book.

They were not wearing jackets, nor were they carrying umbrellas.

*nor means “also not”. Nor requires unusual grammar. The first sentence will contain a negative verb. The second sentence will contain what looks like an interrogative affirmative verb form. An auxiliary verb (do/does/did, is/am/are/was/were), modal verb (can/could/will/would/may/might/must/should), or be main verb (is/am/are/was/were) comes after nor and before the subject, and then the main verb comes after the subject.

B – but Tom studied a lot, but he didn’t pass the test.

O – or He can buy the book, or he can borrow it from the library.

Y – yet Tom studied a lot, yet he didn’t pass the test.

*yet means the same thing as but.

S – so Maria was thirsty, so she drank some water.

It was cold outside, so she put on a sweater.

Hello, my name is Zean. I come from Newzeland, but now I and my family live in Kediri. Every weekend we always go for taking a walk. At this week, we'll go to the zoo. Why is our planning going there? Because we like animals. We have a lot of pets, such as geese, ducks, pigeons, canaries, cats, and dogs.

When Sunday morning, we went to the zoo, there we saw varieties of animals such as lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, and etc. We had a favorite place respectively. I was very interested in dolphins, while my sister really liked butterfly collection. My parents also really enjoyed, they were more like rare animals, such as chimpanzees, bekatan, kangaroos, crocodiles, and komodo.

We returned to home in the afternoon. When we entered our yard we were shocked because the presence of rabbits, which apparently belonged to our neighbor. After returning to the owner, then they gave us two fish for maintaining. We were very happy with it.

After we had taken a bath we rushed for dinner, but the our food had been surrounded by ants. We were very disappointed. Finally we decided to order delivery. When we ate and opened the door, we didn't know that there were mouse and cockroaches that enter. We were very disgusted with that animal, especially my sister. Besides that animal, my sister was very afraid of snakes, lizard and spider.

A New House

When I was Senior High School, I and my family moved to our new house. This house has many rooms. From outside the house looks so simple. But inside of this house is very complicated. It has beautiful garden beside the garage.

This house has 5 bedrooms. The first room has 1 bed, 2 cupboards, 1 bathroom, 2 windows, trash. The second room has 1 bed, 2 cupboards, 1 desk. The third room and fourth room have the same furniture that is 1 bed, a table, and 1 cupboard. And the fifth room is for warehouse.

The most I like about this house is the kitchen. This kitchen has big room. It has 2 refrigerators, eating table, gas stove, kitchen set, microwave, oven, etc.

My home has luxurious bathroom. Inside of it there are bath tube, door mat for drying the food, bathing tools like dipper, towel, tooth brush, etc.

Today is Sunday. I prepare breakfast with Andine, my sister .We want to cook fried rice because the rice is still a lot. We need onion, garlic, chili, eggs, ketchup, tomato sauce, salt and vatsin. The furnitures that we use include gas stove, frying pan, spatula, plates and spoons.

Then we clean up the house for a minute while we are staying longer fried rice on the frying pan. Because we think it needs still long time to be cooked, so we continue to clean up. Suddenly , the frying pan is on fire. We are shocked and screaming. We are confused what we want to eat . There are porridge, sticky rice, noodles, or bread to have breakfast. So, I decide to buy sticky rice. It is mixed with milk, soy powder and cheese . I choose milk and cheese because I like it so much. And my sister, Andine buys bread. There are many tastes of it. And she chooses pineapple jam because she likes it.

Finally, we have done it and have been full.

Then, we continue to the next activity.

Mengapa Belajar Bahasa Inggris Itu Penting??????

Ada kabar mengejutkan buat kita semua baik yang sudah mahir Bahasa Inggris  maupun yang masih pemula, bahwa ternyata saat ini belajar Bahasa Inggris itu tidaklah penting. Sudah barang tentu akan banyak orang, mungkin termasuk anda di dalamnya yang tidak setuju dengan pendapat ini. Tapi, sebelum melancarkan protes, ada baiknya kita melihat 3 hal yang menjadi dasar terhadap pendapat tersebut.Pertama, FAKTA GEOGRAFIS Indonesia yang dikelilingi oleh negara-negara yang kebanyakan penduduknya menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebagai Bahasa pertama atau kedua.  Negara-negara tersebut adalahSingapura, Malaysia, Filipina, Australia, Selandia Baru, dan Papua Nugini. Selain di negara ini, dimana lagi sih ada orang yang menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia sebagai Bahasa ibu? Bahasa Melayu dan Indonesia memang masih bersaudara tapi belum tentu orang-orang dari Malaysia dan Indonesia saling memahami satu sama lainnya saat berbicara dengan bahasa masing-masing. Yang menguasai bahasa Indonesia di Singapura saja tidak banyak apalagi di Australia, Papua Nugini, atau Filipina. Faktor geografis menjadi alasan pertama mengapa orang Indonesia sangat perlu mempelajari Bahasa Inggris.Kedua, FAKTA BAHWA BAHASA INGGRIS MENJADI BAHASA KOMUNIKASI ANTAR BANGSA SEDUNIA.  Agar dapat melakukan komunikasi dengan orang-orang yang berbeda latar belakang budaya dan kenegaraan, Bahasa Inggris menjadi pilihan utama yang sering dipakai dalam melakukan komunikasi.Contoh yang mudah dilihat ada di dunia pariwisata. Para wisatawan yang melakukan perjalanan di negara asing lazim menggunakan bahasa Inggris untuk dapat berkomunikasi dengan warga negara asli yang dikunjunginya. Bukan hanya penutur jati bahasa Inggris, wistawan yang tidak menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa ibu juga memilih bahasa Inggris sebagai lingua franca-nya. Bahasa Inggris juga menjadi bahasa pengantar resmi dalam dunia transportasi udara dan laut. Pilot pesawat, apapun kewarganegaraanya, dilatih untuk menguasai bahasa Inggris agar dapat berkomunikasi dengan pihak menara pengawas bandara yang menjadi tujuan pesawat yang diterbangkannya. Tidak bisa dibayangkan rupanya apabila para pilot dan petugas menara pengendali harus menguasai seluruh bahasa di dunia ini. Sama halnya dengan dunia pelayaran, Bahasa Inggris adalah bahasa komunikasi resmi. Para petugas pelabuhan yang mengendalikan situasi akan selalu berhadapan dengan kedatangan kapal-kapal asing. Agar komunikasi lancar, petugas dan Syahbandar harus mampu berbicara dalam bahasa Inggris dengan kapal yang mana nahkodanya datang dari Amerika, Rusia, Perancis, Afrika Selatan, Korea, ataupun kepulauan Salo.Ketiga, FAKTA BAHWA INFORMASI YANG BEREDAR DI DUNIA INI KEBANYAKAN DISAJIKAN DALAM BAHASA INGGRIS. Apapun minat Anda, informasi yang tersedia di sekitar Anda saat ini mensyaratakan pengetahuan bahasa Inggris yang akan sangat membantu dalam menambah pengetahuan dan memperluas wawasan. Ketrampilan bahasa Inggris yang dimiliki seseorang akan menolong dia untuk mengakses hal-hal yang selama ini tidak ada di dalam bacaan-bacaan yang terbit di Indonesia. Buku-buku ilmiah pun terbit dalam bahasa Inggris. Apabila ada bahan bacaan yang terbit dalam bahasa non-Inggris, maka terjemahan bahasa Inggris pun pasti langsung dibuat dan dipasarkan.
